Hello,

a bit about me:

My name is Kasi Gannon. I was born in Belfry, Kentucky and raised in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Florida. I ended up coming back to Kentucky and chose Eastern Kentucky University to pursue my dream career of becoming an occupational therapist. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with my Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science in 2015, and in 2017 I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. I have since been practicing as an occupational therapist in Eastern Kentucky in a variety of settings including skilled nursing, home health, acute care, outpatient therapy, and inpatient rehabilitation. I have become an autism specialist, I have been trained in feeding therapy, I now however work full time with the adult population 18 years to end of life in the inpatient rehabilitation facility setting. I have also been pursuing an educator role and have been teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Pikeville. I wanted to continue my education and be a change agent in the field, therefore I began pursuing my post professional doctorate at Eastern Kentucky University in the Fall of 2022. I am a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA), and I stay current with NBCOT. I am married to my husband, Cory Gannon, and we have two children, Harper Gannon (7) and Kathryn Gannon (4). I have two dogs, Abby and Cookie Gannon. I also value my roles of being an aunt, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and being outside. Following my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, I plan to further my career path with faith and determination with the goal of being a change agent for individuals to improve quality of life, health and well-being as an educator. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
